How often will I need to re-authenticate with a verification code?
You will need to authenticate the first time you sign in to either Paragon or the Member Portal, after you delete cookies/cache on your browser and at least every 30 days. You may also be asked to re-authenticate when signing on a new device.
Using Auth0's (the provider of our MFA) Adaptive MFA, the system automatically learns your habits and preferences and adapts accordingly. If deemed low risk, you will be required to authenticate less. If you are considered medium or high risk, you may be asked to authenticate more often. The ‘risk factor’ is based on device, location changes (for example, signing in from Edmonton and then 5 minutes later, signing in from the US) and risky IP addresses.
The Association has no control over Auth0's inner coding when determining if a user is low-risk or high-risk.
