Location Services must be enabled on your device and permissions granted to applications for their features to function properly
To use location services, you need to allow your device to access your location. Click on the device below you want to enable location services on:
Apple devices
Note: There are TWO SETTINGS on an iPhone that MUST be enabled in order for the 'My Location' search to work.
One: How to turn Location Services on or off for specific apps
- Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services.
- Make sure that Location Services is on.
- Scroll down to find Safari.
- Tap the app and select an option:
- Never: Prevents access to Location Services information.
- Ask Next Time: This allows you to choose Always While Using App, Allow Once, or Don't Allow.
- While Using the App: Allows access to Location Services only when the app or one of its features is visible on screen. If an app is set to While Using the App, you might see your status bar turn blue with a message that an app is actively using your location.
- Always: Allows access to your location even when the app is in the background.

Android Devices
Enable Location Services on your Android device so apps like Paragon Connect can give you personalized, location-based information and allow features on your device such as Find My Device. You can also control which apps have access to your precise location.

Chrome Browser
Allow websites to use your device’s location to get more relevant information, such as nearby restaurants, weather updates or property listings. Chrome gives you control over when and how your location is shared.
Let a Site Access Your Location
By default, Chrome asks you each time a site wants to use your location.

When prompted, tap or click Allow to share your location.

Always review the site’s privacy policy before sharing your location.
Tip: If you use Google as your default search engine on your phone, your location is automatically used for searches.
Change Your Default Location Settings

Mozilla Firefox Browser
Manage Location Settings in Mozilla Firefox
Allowing or blocking location access helps you control the information you share while browsing. Follow these steps to manage your location settings in Firefox and customize permissions for specific websites.
How to manage your location settings

Open Firefox Preferences
Click the menu button (three horizontal lines) in the top-right corner and select Preferences (or Options on Windows). -
Go to Privacy & Security
In the left-hand menu, click Privacy & Security. -
Manage Location Permissions
Scroll down to the Permissions section and find Location. Click Settings.... -
Adjust Site Permissions
A dialog box will open showing websites that have requested your location.

To remove a site, select it and click Remove Website.

To block or allow a site, use the drop-down menu next to it.
What happens when you allow location access?
Firefox will prompt you each time a site requests your location. You can choose to allow or deny access.
Firefox estimates your location using your IP address, nearby Wi-Fi networks, and GPS (if available). This data may be processed through Google Location Services or Mozilla Location Service, depending on your settings.
Windows
Turn on Location Services for Windows and Specific Apps
Some features in Paragon Connect like the Near me search require Windows Location Services to be enabled. You can also control which apps are allowed to access your precise location.
Follow the steps below to turn on Location Services for your Windows device and a specific app.

Click Start > Settings.

Select Privacy & security.

Select Location.

Under Location services, toggle the setting On.

Click Start > Settings > Privacy & security > Location.

Scroll down to Let apps access your location and make sure it is On.

In the list of apps, find the app you want to allow location access to (e.g., Microsoft Edge).

Toggle the app’s switch to On.
Note: Desktop apps installed outside of the Microsoft Store may not support precise per-app location control.
