Categorizing Listings
All listings start as Undecided. Your clients can easily categorize each property into one of three categories: Favorite, Possible, or Rejected. This helps them stay organized and gives you a clearer view of their preferences.
Undecided: If the category icons are grey, it means the client hasn’t categorized the listing yet. However, this doesn't mean they haven’t viewed it. Encourage them to categorize listings as this helps you fine-tune their property search.
Favorites: When clients love or are highly interested in a property, they can click the Favorite () icon. This signals to you that they’re strongly considering the listing, helping you prioritize these top choices.
Possible: For listings your clients are unsure about, they can click the Possible () icon to mark it for later consideration. These listings can be reviewed when they want to revisit options.
Rejected: If a property doesn’t meet their needs, clients can click the Rejected () icon. This feedback is particularly valuable for you—if many listings are rejected, it might be a sign to adjust their search criteria. |
If a client wants to remove a listing from a category, they can simply click the already selected icon, which returns it to Undecided. They can also change a listing’s category at any time by selecting a different icon.

To make the categorization and tagging process smoother, you can offer initial support, especially when dealing with larger batches of listings. You might:
-
Tag the first set of matched listings: Help your clients by tagging the first set of listings and rejecting properties in bulk if needed. This can simplify the process and set them up for success.
-
Create client-specific favorites: If you’re working with multiple clients on the same transaction, you can create tags like Client A Favs and Client B Favs to track their individual preferences. Just let them know that the last person to tag will override previous selections if there’s a conflict.
-
Properties Viewed: To help clients keep track of properties they’ve physically seen, you can create a Properties Viewed tag for them. Add comments with their thoughts to help in future decision-making.
Encourage your clients to start categorizing listings from the Undecided category to make their search more manageable. By actively using tags and categories, your clients will have a more organized and personalized search experience, giving you valuable insights that guide them to the perfect property.
